Hello!
You can't say "tree lined streets" if there are no trees in Arizona! Silly!
Maybe you say "baren streets", or "tumbleweed streets", or "cactus lined streets"!
Or maybe you move her to Oregon where there are plenty of trees!

Or maybe they are a specific kind of tree that does grow in hot weather...then you want to specify. :)
ReplyDeleteOr maybe she lived near the mountians of Arizona (i.e. flagstaff) in which cas there ARE trees...I'm not sure why I'm so interested in the tree discussion but either way I really like your characters.
